Kirk Kerkorian Medical Education Building achieved LEED Silver Certification

Nevada has landed in the Top 10 States for LEED in 2024, coming in eighth and making the list for the third time in the last eight years. Rankings are based on square footage per capita of LEED-certified space.
It is an impressive accomplishment but not surprising given the state’s commitment to clean energy and its history of investment in high-performance, energy-efficient buildings to meet Nevadans’ climate and resilience goals.
The Nevada Health and Bioscience Corporation achieved LEED Silver on the new Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. This impressive project designed by Tate Snyder Kimsey Architects and constructed by MJ Dean Construction was thoughtfully planned to maximize daylighting, energy efficiency and heat resilience.
